We visited this beautiful state park complete with Big Hill Pond, Travis McNatt Lake, and scenic hiking trails throughout.
We chose to hike the trail which led to the boardwalk through Dismal Swamp and then to the observation tower which offered a breathtaking view. Keep in mind this hike is not for the faint of heart due to an aged boardwalk and a steel mesh tower which reaches well above the treetops. The trail itself was a moderate hike.
